Helensburgh Photographic Club

22nd November 2016
Richard Darroch of the Helensburgh Photographic Club approached me in the spring to sound me out about being one of their guest speakers for one of their autumn club meetings. We agreed a date for Tuesday 22nd November so tonight I found myself over in the Royal Northern & Clyde Yacht Club, Helensburgh, giving a slide presentation to the members whose passion is for Landscape Photography. Proper coffee was served in the half time interval with the raffle prize being one of my A3 prints.

I tried to convey the experiences I have had over the past few years using images in a slideshow to show my artistic vision, mixed in with some technical info and a few anecdotes. The evening passed quickly and it seemed to be received very well.

Richard contacted me the following week to say "The feedback from the members has been very positive and everyone enjoyed the evening, your journey and recent successes were great to hear and I think it made a lot of people think sometimes it is worth taking a chance to follow your passion".
