Monochromes
New for Spring 2020 and two years in the making are five themed portfolios of monochrome images.
Definition: "adj ; of or executed in (shades of) one colour, black and white, or shades of grey"
I used Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 and Topaz Labs Black & White 2 software, to convert the digital files to monochrome. Each software suite has a range of pre-set conversions, coloured contrast filters, film simulations and grain filters which I adjusted both globally and locally to fine tune an image. The software also provides for images to be toned and if I have applied a tone this is shown below the image.
Each image is presented as if it were a print with a white border around and I have included a title with geographical area to help illustrate it.
