Prints
There is really no substitute for seeing a photograph as a print. It is the culmination of the photographic process which is why I print everything myself so that I have complete control from start to finish.
I print on a range of professional grade papers using Canon Lucia pigment inks that are colourfast for 100-years. Prints are available on three sizes of paper: A4 (29.7cm x 21cm), A3 (42cm x 29.7cm) and A3+ (48.3cm x 32.9cm). For prints in the photographic ratios 4:3, 10:8, 7:6 and Square, the paper will be cropped on the longer side to fit the ratio. All prints will have a white border included to make handling and mounting easier.
Archival Photographic Prints
Archival Photographic Prints are printed on Innova Art FibaPrint® White Semi-Matte 300gsm acid free paper that has been modelled on the traditional Baryta papers used in darkrooms. Its semi-matt surface reduces reflections.
Archival 'Fine Art' Prints
Fine Art prints, often referred to as 'Giclee' prints, are printed on 100% cotton archival grade paper. The prints have a very luxurious feel due to the matt cotton surface. Two papers are used from Fotospeed's Signature Range of Fine Art papers :
Fotospeed Natural Soft Textured Bright White 315gsm Fine Art paper which has a very gentle texture. The paper is approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild and when used in conjunction with pigment inks will ensure a print life of more than 85 years.
Fotospeed Smooth Cotton 300gsm Fine Art paper which has an ultra-smooth surface ideal for high saturation images. When used in conjunction with pigment inks, the paper will ensure a print life of more than 85 years.
'Fine Art' prints are printed on A3+ (48.3cm x 32.9cm) size paper to allow for a white border. They are signed, titled and dated on the reverse in pencil.
Web-Ready Royalty-Free Digital File
Two sizes of digital downloads are offered for use on web based media. The files are royalty-free with no expiry and are for unrestricted use by the buyer for commercial, editorial or advertising usage on web based media only. Choose between 2000px or 1500px (on the long edge) depending on your requirements. The file will be emailed to your nominated email address as a zipped high-quality JPG file.
Colour Management
The images on my website are shown at a much lower resolution than the actual printed image which will be of a much higher quality. They are also viewed in the internet standard sRGB colour space. My monitor is profiled to ensure accurate colours, brightness, contrast, and black point with the digital images being printed in the much wider AdobeRGB colour space with the files being matched to the papers offered using custom made ICC colour profiles.

Prints should ideally be framed behind glass and where possible displayed out of direct sunlight. When displayed correctly, archival and fine art prints will last 80-90 years.
